To you this picture may simply be a cute girl petting a cow. But to me, this picture has a thousand words and emotions behind it. I see a passion beginning in a four year old girl. I see a loving father who wants to share his knowledge of cows. I see a family’s heritage being passed onto another generation. I could go on forever.
One of the greatest attributes of farm life is growing up with a family atmosphere. I grew up eating dinner with my entire family every night and found it really strange when I learned that normal families don’t do that regularly. I watched my parents work side by side for years, making every decision together. Over 25 years later, they are still as in love as the day they were married. I truly believe in the saying, a family who works together, stays together. My family is a perfect example of that.
Heritage or not, this living gives us exactly what we want. We work together as a family and love every minute of it. There is nothing we would rather be doing as a career.

Yes, this picture does exactly that for me! On hard days it reminds me of why I love to my job. Thanks so much for the comment.
