Well, last week on Friday, was my last day at World Dairy Expo. Anyone at the expo would say in the show ring, everyone is always hoping for THE look! Now what do I mean by “The Look”?
The Look is when the judge is sorting his class of cows or heifers. Every judge gives a look and point to the next animal he will pull out. It’s amazing how fast your heart beats when you get the look and the point.
One of the most exciting parts of World Dairy Expo for me personally was meeting an idol of mine from the dairy industry. I have NO artistic ability what so ever, but I admire others who do. One of these people who have this abilities is Bonnie Mohr. She is a dairy farmer from Minnesota who paints agriculture, specifically dairy cows. Needless to say, she will be decorating my apartment after my pictures get hung up.
Bonnie recently created a new painting featuring all 7 of the North American dairy breeds for Hoard’s Dairyman’s 125th Anniversary. She signed the prints each day at expo for her fans. Thank you so much for sharing your ability with us Bonnie!
Now it’s onto a week back in the real world.
