I’m going to be talking about my wedding a lot and I just realized you probably have no idea how I met my fiance, Eric! Before I get into my experiences of planning my wedding, I’m going to tell you the story of how we met.
Right after college I worked for a bull stud. For those of you who might not know what that is, I sold bull semen for artificial insemination. Yes, I was one of the few females daring enough to sell male specimens. Needless to say, it’s an interesting conversation starter for a lot of people.
I worked in Eastern Michigan and one day decided to stop at this farm in the area. I had heard the owner of the farm was a great guy and was told I should stop there. The first time I stopped in I met the owner, but every time I stopped later I got “stuck” talking to the farm’s herdsman.
He was a tall, handsome guy with blonde curly hair. Let me tell you, the curly part really got me and I was smitten! It didn’t take long and when I was in the area I was just stopping in because I needed someone I could just chat with for a little while. The rest is history and now today, he’s the love of my life.
It’s crazy how you meet the greatest people at the times when you’re least expecting it. I’m very thankful to have been blessed with Eric and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him!

This is adorable. I’m fighting the urge to make jealous remarks about how “gross” and “cute” it is. 🙂 That’s okay, someday I will marry a rich cowboy from a multi-million dollar beef empire. Kind of like Ree Drummond did. Yeah. That’s what’ll happen…

My dearest friend Kelly, you are hilarious! And of you course you’re going to marry a rich cowboy, I don’t see it happening any other way. I love you and I’m sorry to had to work so hard to keep your breakfast down 😉
