‘Hellbent’ on this Beauty Swap Box

I apologize if the title has offended you, but as you read about my Beauty Swap box you will  understand why I used that word. This was the third time I participated in a Crystal Cattle Beauty Swap and this time was just as fun as the two before.

I was paired with Hannah at the Rustic Boot Company and let me tell you she is an awesome person! She runs an online store and blogs at her website where she has oodles of amazing things. She sells home decor, clothes and accessories. Be sure to check out her store because I know I will be making a purchase really soon. While you’re there, don’t forget to follow her blog! I got my box from Hannah on a Friday. Getting this package totally turned around my gloomy, rainy day! I was so excited about everything in it and could not wait to try them out. I was so excited I actually wore the lipstick to my girls night that night, which is a sweat pants appropriate gathering of girlfriends. 

Here are the products and samples that I got and a little description: 

1. Cover Girl Professional Super Thick Lash Mascara – I tried this mascara first thing and I was surprised by how much I loved it because I haven’t used a drugstore mascara in quite a while. I also loved the fact that it has a normal bristle brush. In my opinion a bristle brush is always better than a silicone brush. The mascara made my lashes look long and full. It was not clumpy and went on smoothly, I highly recommend this product.

2. Murad Pore and Line Minimizing Hydrator – This is such a light moisturizer and that makes is deceiving. The first time I put it on I was not sure how moisturizing it would be, but honestly it did a wonderful job of making my skin feel nourished. I will see how it works long term on my fine lines. 

3. Peter Roth and Thomas 40% Triple Acid Peel – I am thrilled to try this peel out. I am really hoping it helps with my large pores.

4. Ralph Lauren Midnight Romance Perfume Sample – This perfume has a wonderful, light scent. I cannot wait to buy a full size bottle of it. It has a flowery scent with hints of something more earthy, which I suppose is the vanilla in it. It seriously is delish and I would highly recommend it. 

5. fresh. Sugar tint – This lip balm is one of my favorites. They smell amazing and I love the color of this Rose shade. It is a bright red and is a great daytime shade. If you aren’t a lipstick girl, this is a lip product for you. You can add some color to your lips without having to wear lipstick.

6. Kat Von D Hellbent lipstick – I am a Kat Von D lover, I think she is such a cool chick. I have a lady crush on any woman who is in a mainly male industry (sound familiar) and is kicking butt doing her thing. I have been itching to get my hand on some of her makeup and Hannah made that happen. She sent me a tube of her Painted Love Lipstick in the shade of Hellbent. I tried it on without any lip primer and went to dinner and the lipstick held really well. The color was a beautiful, bright shade of red. The lipstick has a great shine to it that lasted until I ate, which I loved. Sometimes lip gloss can get a little heavy, especially in the summer. Since this lipstick has such a great shine lip gloss isn’t needed!
