I decided to share my 5 Favorite Things for Summer and most of them revolve around skin care, because we all want clear, dewey, beautiful skin. So we are calling this the Summer Skin Care Edition!
1. Peter Thomas Roth Un-Winkle Peel Pads – I just started using these puppies and I love them. I’ve been having problems with these bumps coming up on my skin and I could not get rid of them so after some research I decided to give these a try. Revolutionary. These are quite pricy, but I cut them in half and I only use a half of a pad each time I treat my face, neck and hands. That equals out to 180 pads for about $60 or 33 cents per use. After 7 uses my bumps have started to go away, my pours have never looked so small, and my wrinkles have noticeably diminished.
2. Benefit Fakeup – I got this from my friend Crystal in one of the Beauty Swaps I participated in. I have loved this concealer since she got it for me, but it is amazing in the summer. It has a moisturizing part to the stick and I was worried it might feel greasy or get cakey when it hot and humid out. Nope, no big deal! This concealer handles any weather like a champ.
3. Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray – Okay ladies, if you don’t use a setting spray. You need to. I was not convinced of their magic. I am a girl and I sweat (yes, girls sweat too) so I did not think a setting spray would do anything for me. Let me tell you, it makes a difference in how well your makeup stays. So just get a bottle and don’t have a coronary about the price.
4. Neutrogena Dry Touch Sunblock – I use this on my face every day and I swear by it. It smells great and not like sunblock at all. It looks like it’s going to be greasy but when it dries you don’t even know you have sunblock on. Since I have been using this one daily I have not gotten a sunburn on my face at all.
5. MAC Maleficent Nail Polish – So I went on a hunt a few weeks ago for a vintage red nail polish. That is a lot harder than it sounds because everyone has a different definition of what vintage is. Mine is a bright cherry red similar to the MAC red lipstick. But no need to fret, I found the perfect polish and I am obsessed with it. I love this polish from MAC. It goes on smooth and shiny, exactly like I wanted it to. The color is perfect and since vintage red is my favorite color this summer I cannot get enough of it!
