When I chopped my hair off earlier this spring I had to get back in the routine of doing my hair. I am the queen of looking at my hair before I go some place and saying it looks good enough. I am a firm believer in a good haircut and that always helped me to be able to do that. And my slightly wavy hair helps too. I was using this old, cheap straightener from Walmart and was beginning to think it just was not cutting it. Luckily that old hair straightener quit working the day after my haircut so I was forced to find a replacement.
Naturally I went on a search to find a better quality straightener. When I was looking there were so many to choose from and prices ranged from $40 to several hundred. I decided I wanted to spend a little more money than I did on my last one. I was hoping that by spending a little more I would have one that would be more gentle on my hair when I was styling it.
The question was how much would I be willing to spend on this new hair tool. Since I don’t do my hair on a daily basis I had a hard time spending over $100. To me it just seemed overkill for how often I use it.
While carousing the Sephora website I found a brand new Sephora brand straightener that was under $100. It only had 2 reviews but both were positive so I decided to try it. I was debating buying a T2, but decided to give this one a whirl first. Let me tell you, I was surprised by how great this straightener was for the money.
The buttons were a little challenging to figure out at first, but after 5 minutes of trying I figured it out. Overall this is an amazing hair tool for me. The plates are so smooth! My hair slides smoothly through them and I don’t have to worry about kinks at all. It does not matter how wild my hair is when I start, this straightener always gets it smooth. I often go from a pony tail all day to styling my hair down and straight and this tool manages to keep up. I have lots of thick hair and I can have my hair done in 10 minutes. The plates are also easy to clean with just a swipe of a clean cloth.
My old straightener needed several swipes to get a piece of hair straight, but now I only need one. I can turn the temperature up or down and it heats up so fast. I can also curl my hair with it. Although I have not curled my entire head I have tested a few pieces and it seems to work great. This gets me excited because I hate traveling with several hair tools. Now when I am going on a long trip I can pack with straightener and get curls or straight hair.

This sounds like a really good straightening tool! Very nice post, Ashley! I am impressed that this flat iron can make your thick hair smooth in just one or two slides. That is great!
