I have a supreme love of beauty, fashion and makeup as you know. I love the confidence that it gives me, even when I’m having a bad day. But this is what I look like on a daily basis. No makeup, my hair is in a ponytail and I dress like a bum. My hair usually looks crazy, since I wear it in a ponytail daily I have a lot of fly away problems. I really need to master french braiding because it would help that problem a lot.
One of the things I love the most is having my nails look nice most of the time. Since I work on the farm my nails tend to get beat up. My hands are around a lot of sand and dirt and I wash them a lot through the day. This means nail polish rarely lasts on my fingers. Honestly, I don’t normally have the downtime to let it dry properly either. It seems like I always have something to do and I smudge them. I love shellac but it’s expensive and I have to set up an appointment. When I just don’t have time to get a nail appointment I need something quick and easy.
A few weeks ago a friend invited me to a Jamberry Nail Wrap party she was having. Obviously, I decided to give them a good, farm girl try!
Initially when I applied them, I will say up front, they are not super easy to apply. Are they difficult, no, but they it will take some practice to get the technique down. I wouldn’t be afraid to buy a set that you don’t care about that much about to practice on. Also, the website has 2 awesome videos that will help out a lot. First, watch the application video and follow along with it. Once you apply a nail or 2, go and check out the tips and tricks video. Once you see the problems you might be having, this video shows you how to fix them for the rest of your nails!
In initially I could tell that the three end nails were applied perfectly. So, I knew those would be my real test because they were applied perfectly. I loved the look of the nails! The cheetah was so much fun and I got a ton of compliments on them the entire time I had them on, even on day 14!
On day 7 you could see my nails started to grow out. I have really fast growing nails so I suspected that might be a problem, but the ones applied correctly lasted really well. Even my thumb was lasting quite well considering I had buckling on the bottom of it.
Day 14 obviously shows the most wear and tear. I had just gotten done cleaning the cattle waterers (my hands were submerged in water for a long period of time) and I saw the first lifting at the top. Otherwise, the tips lasted really well. I had just picked the fore finger off right before the picture because it was lifting quite badly, but again, that is because it wasn’t applied perfectly.
Overall, I was thrilled with the Jamberry nails. My lifestyle is rough on any nail product and this one seemed to last as well as or better than any other one I have tried. Like I said, it will take a little practice to get the application technique down, but once you do these might be your favorite nail products!
If you are interested in trying them out, I am having an Online Jamberry Party! Woo hoo. You can check it out here and you won’t be disappointed. They just released their fall patterns and they are so cute! A few of my favorites are Vintage Chic, Gilded Leopard (which is even cooler than the leopard print I tried out in my review), and Mad Mod!
