It is that time of the year again, where seasons change and we come into spring. Spring is one of my favorite time because it means we are leaving winter behind and coming into the heat and sun of summer. I love summer. I am a hot weather person. Sorry, but I think winter is for the birds so it’s amazing I even live in a place as cold as Michigan. Here are my 5 Things I love, Spring Edition.

I am in love with this GapFit Workout gear. It is comfortable but it is also cute. So you don’t have to worry about looking like a loser in public. I also love the fact that they have pieces that are geared toward sports like running and my favorite yoga. The best part is, if you go to a Gap Factory or Outlet you can get 3 or 4 pieces for the $60 that one of the pants cost. I call that being smart, not cheap.
2. L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Last Lipstick
I saw something on Instagram from one of the 50 makeup professionals I follow about this lipstick. The video showed a model putting it on and then trying to kiss it off on her fingers and it didn’t budge. So I had to try it. I expected it to have a strange texture. It does feel different than normal lipstick, it’s sort of sticky but it wasn’t bad enough that it bothered me. I put it on that night for a concert. I removed my makeup with a makeup cloth and my lipstick had stayed put even after dinner, lots of drinks and drooling in my sleep on the car ride home. The amazing part was, when I ate breakfast the next morning, I still had a little lipstick left and it came off on my napkin. That was a long wearing lipstick. Color me impressed.
3. Miracle-Gro Gro-ables Salad and Herb Garden Kit
I love to cook and freeze fresh food. Whenever my grandfather asks me if I want some of his production from his huge garden, I rarely turn him down. But I truly have no interest in having one of my own. I don’t even weed around my own house and the last thing I want to do it have a garden to weed every night. When I get done in the barn, I don’t want to spend a few hours out in a garden. I have bills to pay, dishes to wash and laundry to do. But, these Gro-ables seem totally up my alley. You buy these little inserts, you put them in a pot and you just have to water them and pick your veggies. I could see these in some pretty planters. There is minimal weeding if you have them in a pot that is sized for the fruit or vegetable. This is meant for urban gardeners and lazy gardeners like myself and there are so many options.
I am almost always carrying around a cup with something to drink in it. Whether it’s water or tea, I love my cups. I traditionally used a Tervis, but my family introduced me to this thing called a Hyrdo Flask. Let me tell you, my life has been changed. These things are amazing. The HyrdroFlask will keep my tea steaming hot for 4 or more hours with the cap on! It will keep cold water cool all day long, even when it is hot out. I love these things and they are my new favorites. I love that they have so many sizes and you can throw them in a bag and not worry about them leaking as long as you have the cap on right.
5. Face Scrub – dr. brandt Microdermabrasion Face Scrub or AHAVA Facial Mud Exfoliator
Everyone needs a good face scrub. It’s not something you can use daily but it’s just as important to your routine as your daily cleaner. Without one you will have dead skin buildup which can greatly affect how your skin feels and looks. We are getting close to summer and exfoliation is going to be more important, it will give us that dewy skinned look that we all want. Two products that I really love are a dr. Brandt product or if you are looking for something a little more affordable I would give this one from AHAVA a try.
These are some of my favorite products right now. What are some of your favorite things right now?
