Skincare Dream in my Beauty Swap Box

I was so excited to get to participate in Crystal Cattle’s Thirtieth Birthday Beauty Swap because I had to sit out the last one!  If you want read about my other swaps I have the links at the bottom of the page. Naturally I wanted to come back with a beauty swap bang and I was so excited to be paired with Myla from The Purple Front Door. Myla is from Illinois and shows horses, we both love the color purple, she has a knack for DIYing, and she love promoting agriculture, especially when it deals with meat, wine and beer. She’s my kind of woman. 

We got along so well, that we are hoping to plan a trip to Chicago soon to meet up. Since my seestor lives there it’s an easy trip to plan! 

After chatting a lot about our favorite products and the things we wanted we went shopping. It was great. I love shopping for other people!  So make sure you check out Myla’s post about the gift basket I sent to her. I have to say, I totally won the lottery on swapping partners because I got an amazing box.

1.  B.Right Radient Skincare 6 Piece Intro Kit 

I mentioned to Myla that I was looking for a skincare set. Now that I am getting closer to 3-0 my skin is changing and I haven’t been able to find something that fits my skin yet (between these products and some Mary Kay products I am getting so close). I was so excited about this set for several reasons. First, the packaging is so darn cute!  Seriously, the bottles are great. Second, the products are awesome. The face wash is my favorite of the products so far! I haven’t tried them all yet because there is so many, but the wash is so foamy that there is no doubt it gets in every nook and cranny. I put it on my Mary Kay electric face brush and it literally foamed so much I got it up my nose. If you are in the market for a new skincare set I would definitely give this one a try!

 

2. Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream 

Since I work on the farm I don’t wear makeup daily but I also mentioned that I had been thinking about a BB Cream to just throw on so I hopefully won’t scare anyone that swings by the farm and sees my red skin. Myla totally nailed it with this one! I love this Smashbox BB Cream. It is light, has 30 SPF and covers most of my redness. I absolutely love it and has become a daily part of my routine. 

 

3. L’Oreal Double Extend Mascara 

It’s a funny coincidence that Myla sent me this mascara. I just started trying a lash primer from Mary Kay a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it! This mascara has a primer on one side and a mascara on the other. It gives my lashes great fullness and length. For the price this is an amazing mascara and it will definitely be a well loved part of my makeup bag.

  1. I’m so glad it was all a hit! I definitely have to go get a full size bottle of the BB cream for myself. The Mary Kay face brush is great and is at a much nicer price point compared to Clarisonic. Another great product by MK is their microdermabrasion set!! Happy FriYAY!

    • Yes, I loved the BB cream! I was shocked when I tried it the first week. I just sat there one day and pondered why anyone would spend the money on the Clarisonic. Ok, not really, but it makes me want to cry. You can buy a lot of makeup for $100 or more. I will definitely have to try the microdermabrasion set.

    • The Benefit set it an awesome one to look at! I am also trying the Mary Kay Timewise set and I really like a couple of the parts to that one too. The wash is great but I really like the Benefit one too so I’m not sure which one I will add permanently to my routine. But the Night Serum that Mary Kay sells is pretty much awesome! You definitely need to try their face brush if you don’t use one already. It’s as good as a Clarisonic but for $50!
