Well, it’s that time again! How it is that we have a 9 month old? We are three quarters of the way to having a 1 year old. Whew, that sounds overwhelming. I’m already tired thinking about Christmas and a first birthday in the same week. But it’s going to be so magical. It has been so much fun watching Calli learning to walk, learn new noises, smiling and interacting more and more. This has been my favorite age yet.
Without any further ado, these are my favorite baby products for 6-9 months.
Calli loves this Jumperoo. She has been playing in this thing for the last 3 months basically. It strengthened her legs, it keeps her entertained, and it keeps her in one place. The toy has different volumes, it is stimulating and I don’t think is an overly huge object. It’s not small by any means, but I think other jumpers are larger.
Teaching an infant to eat solid food is just messy. Let’s face it. But a good bib can make a huge difference. I love these Bumkins brand bibs. I tried other ones but these are my favorite. They are waterproof and since they don’t have any fabric on the back they dry quickly and wash up so easily. They have the cutest patterns, they have Disney (my favorite), Marvel and just general patterns that are all adorable!
Teething stinks. There is no way around it. This gum massager is amazing. I had a friend give one to me. Talk about the bomb diggity. For about $5 you cannot go wrong with trying it.
Summer Infant Shopping Cart Cover
So hear me out on this one. A lot of moms don’t like these things. They find them bulky and annoying. Which they do take a couple minutes to set up, but I think it is completely worth it. I’m not a germaphobe, but let’s face it carts are gross and this cover covers entire cart. We also should not be putting the infant car seats in carts anymore. If you need any help deciding not to do that just read this please. This rule change was fine with Calli because she didn’t like sitting in her car seat anymore than she had to. As soon as she could hold herself up I started sitting her up in the cart. The car seat cover comes with this neat U shaped pillow that goes around your baby and helps hold them up. When Calli wasn’t great at holding up her head I would add rolled up pillows behind her head. Even now I still use the u shaped pillow because it makes it so much more comfortable for her.
Calli is starting to get into books finally. She still won’t let me sit there and read a book to her because she still wants to eat them normally. Regardless, these books are now a staple in her toy bin. She loves them because their colors are bright and contrasting. In addition, each page has a different texture on it, she loves touching each page. The best part is, these are tough hardy books. Calli has been trying to eat her board books and I can see several of them may need to be replaced soon. These USborne books have been used and abused and they still look brand new.
