There are No Coincidences

This past spring I took my mom to see Theresa Caputo, The Long Island Medium. For those of you that don’t know who she is, she has a show on TLC. If you have never seen her, she is an extroverted, New Jersey woman who has an amazing knack for speaking with the dead. She has huge hair, crazy nails and I want her shoe collection. If you need direction in your life, I HIGHLY recommend reading her book You Can’t Make This Stuff Up. It seems like every time I read it I find exactly what I need to hear. She really is an amazing lady. 

 

When we were at her show, she said something that stuck with me. She said, “There are no coincidences. Everything you think is a coincidence, it’s a sign.” That really changed how I see the world. I already believed in mediums and an after life. I didn’t need to be convinced of that, but I never thought of everything being a sign. 

I wear a KEEP Collective bracelet on my wrist a lot. On it, it has 3 bars, but I don’t think many know what they mean. They are the birthstones for December, March and December. These months have very strong meaning to my husband and I. On December 21, 2014 we had our first miscarriage. On March 23, 2015 we had our second miscarriage. On December 20, 2015 we had our amazing Calli Marie. I know it was no coincidence that we had Calli 364 days after our first miscarriage. She was born 5 weeks early and perfectly healthy. 

 

There. Are. No. Coincidences.

 

I truly believe God was showing us that rainbows do come at the end of a storm. Your rainbow may not come when you plan it or want it. Your rainbow may not come in the way you thought it would. But it will come.

 

Things happen for a reason. I know, we have all heard that a lot. When you are in the middle of that storm of despair, devastation and jealousy it is so hard to remind yourself of that. Believe me, I know. But try to stay positive and know something good will come out of the long, hard battle you are fighting. You are an inspiration by fighting through these hard times and you will come out stronger, even if you are a little battered from the battle. I think of all of them women who are walking that path of infertility and I pray they know that rainbows do come. 

 

Just remember, there are no coincidences.
