About 3 years ago I posted this recipe on my blog. I decided it’s time to resurrect it for the #DairyChristmas recipe hashtag. This recipe isn’t super heavy in dairy products but one of my pregnancy cravings is peanut butter. When I say I’m craving it, I mean I have gone through 3 containers of peanut butter in the last two months. I hadn’t used up one in the 3 years of marriage previous. Also, since I am on full bedrest I cannot cook or bake. So, I had to get creative on the recipe front. Without any further ado, I… Read More

She is a blast and I really hope we get to meet face to face one day. Personally, I think we should… Read More
It Takes a Village: High Risk Pregnancy
They say it takes a village to raise a child. I completely agree with that. What people don’t realize is when you have a high risk pregnancy that gets into questionable territory, that also takes a village. With my conditions, I fall under the high risk pregnancy bandwagon. The first trimester of my pregnancy was great. I was one of those lucky snots that didn’t have morning sickness. I felt great and other than feeling exhausted 24 hours a day, everything was great. The fist few weeks of second trimester were great too. I had zero complaints. My bi-weekly doctors… Read More
Small Business Charm: Dally Designs
A note from Ashley: Being a small business owner I love other small businesses. It makes me happy to support someone who is following their dream too. That love inspired me to start this monthly blog series. I decided to call it Small Business Charm. I will feature different small businesses I love. I have found them through social media or are businesses local to me in Michigan. Social media has been a huge part of my life over the past 7 or 8 years and it has introduced me to some of my favorite people in the world but also some… Read More
Disney Themed Baby Shower
A month ago now we celebrated the blessing Baby K is with a baby shower. We decided to have the shower really early knowing the risks we had, we wanted to beat the holidays and we had family visiting from out of state that week. Little did we know I would already be on moderate bedrest at that point. So, good thing we had it really early in October with a mid-January due date. Whenever I thought of what our baby shower theme would be I went through a lot of ideas, but I always went back to Disney…. Read More
Bossy Is a 4 Letter Word: #BanBossy
When I was young I got called bossy a lot. I came out of the womb giving orders. It is in my DNA to be a leader. For a long time I hated who I was. I quickly figured out being bossy was not a good thing. It took me a long time to accept who I was and fine tune the life skill of tactfulness. If you want to read more about my journey to self acceptance you can read this post. I’m not sure why I am visitng this subject again. I don’t know if I feel the… Read More
5 Things I Love for Fall
Yes, it is that time of the year. Pumpkin Spice is out in droves, leaves are changing, and white girls everywhere (for the record, I do not own a pair and don’t plan on it) are dusting off their Uggs. Also for the record, I do not really like a Pumpkin Spice flavored anything. I like pumpkin pie, that’s it. Hate me as you will, I don’t care. When fall comes along and the weather starts to change so do a lot of things for my fashion and beauty routine. I always love sharing new fun products for each season… Read More
Modern Farming Series Part 4: Learning about Lactation
If you have had kids you would know lactation is a big deal. Today it is not what our mother’s idea of nursing/pumping was. There is a whole new level of knowledge about lactation. That goes with cows as well. This lactation knowledge helps us keep our cows healthy. By preventing infection and harvesting milk in a comfortable, healthy way we are keeping our antibiotic use down. To show how serious we are about lactation knowledge. In order to graduate from college with my Dairy Management degree we had to take a semester long course called Mammary Physiology. We talked… Read More
