If you follow the Facebook page you will know that The Hubby and I got away this past weekend. It doesn’t happen often because of the work on the farm. On Friday we headed to Chicago to visit my younger sister who lives there and works for Kraft. Of course a trip to Sephora and the MAC counter were on the schedule. Don’t worry, I will have some product reviews over the next few weeks talking about what I found. I am pretty excited to share my finds with all of you! But today I want to share some of… Read More
Taking a bedroom from bland to an Oasis: Home DIY
I mention our house remodel quite a bit and how we are doing a lot of Home DIY work. One of our projects was remodeling the bedroom my husband and I use. This project took quite a while but it was totally worth the wait! The room before had classic 1970s blue carpet and matching blue wood paneling. It was beautiful, but we decided to remodel the room anyway. The room’s color scheme is grey, blue with a hint of yellow as you will see in the rug below. Of course this was the perfect place to hang my… Read More
Perfect Lip Product for Spring and Summer
I watched a video from another beauty blogger where she talked about the Rimmel London Lip Laquer called Show Off. There have been awesome reviews of this product online so naturally I wanted to try it. I headed up to my local Walgreens and picked it up in the color Nova. If you were like me you might be asking, ‘Ashley, what is a lip laquer?’. This is my interpretation of what a lip laquer is. If lipstick cheated on it’s significant other with lip gloss and they had a love child. Enter, lip laquer. My definition may not… Read More

Today was intentionally planned this way but I am starting a new series on my blog. Today is National Agriculture Day so what better way to celebrate than with my new series called Agriculture is Everywhere. The goal is to show that agriculture touches so many more areas than just farming! It is such a diverse segment and I wanted to start sharing some stories. All of these posts will be written by guest contributors. Our first post is from someone in my family. My sister Lauren graduated from Michigan State University (GO GREEN) with her Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging. Lauren works… Read More

5 Things that are Underrated….
This is according to me of course. 1. Reading Books, especially the classics. Honestly I read a lot and having an app on your phone has made it so easy and convenient. 2. Being organized, I know I talk about this one a lot. It’s amazing what being organized does for being on time and the stress in your life. With spring coming this is a good time to get organized before the busy summer months are here! 3. MAC Lipstick. I never been a big lipstick fan. I think it was all those memories of cheap, bright red… Read More
Preventing Sick Cows on the Farm
No matter what you might believe about dairy farms and how they take care of their animals we do care about the health of our cows. There are a lot of ways we work to keep our cows healthy including keeping them in a good environment. One of the other tools we use is vaccinating our cows. Just like we get vaccines such as flu shots, we vaccinate our cows again certain illnesses. Each farm has a unique vaccination program. The program my husband uses on the farm he works at is TOTALLY different than the one we use on… Read More
