We are getting into winter, which means the holidays are coming up quickly. Fall also means harvest which is exciting! We are getting a lot of unique fruits and vegetables that we only get this time of the year. Two of these are pumpkins and squash. This year I decided to try something different. I had my brother pick me up a pie filling pumpkin and I decided I want to make homemade pumpkin pie filling. I’m not going to lie, I’m not an expert on this subject, I got all of my information from here. This website, called Pick… Read More
I’m Back
I know, rule number one of successful blogging is to always post regularly…… NO MATTER WHAT. Let me tell you, I needed the break. With everything going on in my life and continuing to get busier and busier I just couldn’t do everything. The good news is, no more excuses! The wedding is over and it turned out wonderful. I cannot wait to show you all how it turned out. Here is a teaser picture from my friend Kelly Rivard who was able to make it to the shin dig of the year 🙂 Here’s to lots of new posts,… Read More
It’s Official!
I promised I would share when I became an official partner in the farm. On July 1, it became official. I know, I know. I waited a while to announce it. I just wanted to be sure everything was finished and official! Logistically nothing has changed. For now, my parents and I do the same jobs that we have been doing. I will just have to pay half of the cow bills now too. Once my parents move off of the farm (which could be as soon as two weeks) things will begin to change. Which is very exciting! I… Read More

Stylish, Comfortable and Functional Rolled into One
If I were reading that title I would think I was talking about an old pair of jeans or something else. But really, I am talking about a pair of cowboy boots! I was lucky enough to do a test of the new boot brand Shyanne that are at the Boot Barn! Before I get into my review of the boots, let me tell you that the Boot Barn is a wonderful store. If you are in the area of one of their stores I highly recommend stopping in. You will not regret it 🙂
Dairy Cows, Fried Pickles, and Tractor Pulls….
To me, all that sounds like the county fair! In about a month I will be judging my first county fair of the year and I am pretty excited. When I was a youth showing steers and dairy cows, the lessons I learned were numerous. They really have given me the independence and responsibility I need to be a successful adult today.
Flavor Faceoff 2012: Dreamy Chocolate
Well, I am officially a week behind on this with but I am still in the running; better late than never! With an employee being on vacation last week, catching up from the weddings and just my regular work I did not get around to writing this post. But here I am, ready to share my flavor for Flavor Faceoff 2012! Image from here
Wedding Season in Full Swing
Wedding season really is in full swing here! And I’m not just talking about the planning of our soon to be nuptials (however we are less than 4 months from the BIG DAY). On Memorial Day Weekend and the following weekend this is what the Fiancé and I were doing.
